Overview
WIth each new update to the Mac OS we have to figure out what happens to certain aspects of FAXstf. Unfortunatley, Leopard and higher have changed so dramatically that we are still working on some issue. Please SUBSCRIBE as noted below to be notified of new updates to FAXstf.
FAXstf 10.9.1 issues
While 10.9.1 faxing functionality works, there are a couple of advanced features that are not yet working.
- While in a print Window, you can not sort the names alphabetically or by phones numbers (the column headers are dead)
- Automatic fax forwarding to email does not work. You can, however, manually forward the faxes once they come in.
- On FAXstf Sever/Client 10.9.1 installs, the Network Address Book entries will push down from the server to the clients, but only for Quick Faxes. The Address Book from the server will not show in the FILE > PRINT menu on the clients.
There is no ETA on any of these fixes. Please subscribe below to be notified fix.
FAXstf 10.9.0 on Leopard 10.5.5+
If you are getting this when trying to print from an application or if you go into your printer queue and FAXstf says it is SUSPENDED, instead of upgrading to 10.9.1 (so you don't get the above issues unless these are not important):
Smith Micro has come up with a fix for this. CLICK HERE to download the patch. It will land either on your desktop or in your HARD DRIVE > user's home folder > DOWNLOADS folder. Double-click to start the installation. It's your standard installation like any other program. Once you run it, you'll need to RESTART your computer > go back into your PRINTER QUEUE (SYSTEM PREFERENCES > PRINT > double-click FAXPRINT) > click RESUME PRINTER > then clear our the jobs that are currently in there > restart your Mac one more time and you're ready to go!
Ahgh! It still isn't working! Now what?
