Installing Stuffit makes Norton's software stop functioning

Overview

When older versions of Norton Antivirus for Mac is installed, it installs a slightly dated version of the StuffIt framework, which it uses to compress and/or expand files it is working with. When StuffIt is installed, it installs newer StuffIt framework, which the Norton software cannot use.

Please note that this is an issue with the Norton software and Smith Micro is in no way responsible for other companies keeping up with our new versions of software.  To fix this, upgrade to the latest version Norton Anti-Virus version where they no longer rely on our software for theirs to work properly.
