Unstuffing files that are attached to an email

When StuffIt unstuffs a file by default it saves the expanded file in the same folder as the stuffed file. Email programs store attachments in special folders and just display them with the message. When the file is unstuffed it is saved in this same special folder, and the email program does not show you the new file.

The easiest way to get your file is to drag the attachment from the email message (most email programs will allow this) to your computer's desktop, and double-click it there.
