My MAC is asking for a username and password when I try to install software

This small login window is NOT part of our software. This box is NOT asking you for anything that you may have filled out online or during the purchase of our software. You are installing new software on the computer and it just wants to make sure that it's YOU do the installing.

In essence this is a security feature built into your computer itself.

Now, you will usually see that the username is already filled in. This should be familiar to you. So, using what's already in the username you should be able to figure out what password you usually use with that username. If you are still usnure, just try the passwords that you usually use for anything else OR even try leaving the box the way it is and click OK.

You can also click the MORE INFO buttons on the bottom left of the little window (the little question mark pointed out in this picture) for Apple's explanation of this window.

Other than these tips to help you get past this point of any installation, Apple's Support site (click here to go there now) will assist you with this.
